Homemade Gluten-Free Muesli

I know you all want to enjoy a homemade, hearty cereal for breakfast so you can toss that stale cereal that’s sitting in a box in your pantry. Am I right? Yep. I knew it! Well, now’s your chance.

This recipe is super, duper easy to prepare with ingredients easily found in your local grocery or health food store. I love muesli because it’s soaring with fiber, protein and a whole lot of flavor. This recipe is prime for fighting inflammation because of the Omega 3’s that are in each bite. The sweet touch of chocolate chips and dried cherries makes it the perfect way to start your day on the right foot!

I have fond memories of this recipe from childhood, but haven’t been able to enjoy it in the past few years because of the gluten in oats. Now that there are certified gluten-free oats I can make my very own muesli every morning.

Muesli can keep in an airtight container for a few months. Serve it with coconut milk or almond milk yogurt for breakfast, or try it dry as a snack. Drizzle it with raw organic honey for added sweetness or a handful of cashews or chopped Brazil nuts if you want more crunch (and an extra dose of antioxidants). I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as I do!
